Installing Templates

Install a template in one click and customize it for your specific needs.

Installation Steps

  1. Find a template in the Marketplace
  2. Click Install
  3. Review the required connections
  4. Connect any missing apps (OAuth popup or API key)
  5. The template is added to your Automations list as a new flow

Post-Installation

After installing, the template appears in your Automations list as an Inactive flow. Before activating:

1. Review the Configuration

Open the flow in the builder and review each step:

  • Verify connections are set to the correct accounts
  • Check that trigger settings match your needs (schedule timing, webhook path, etc.)
  • Review action configurations (correct Slack channel, email recipients, etc.)

2. Customize

Templates are fully editable. Common customizations:

  • Change the trigger type or schedule
  • Modify message templates and email content
  • Add or remove steps
  • Update filter conditions
  • Add error handling

3. Test

Run the flow manually to verify it works with your data:

  • Click Test Flow (Flow Builder) or Execute Workflow (Workflow Builder)
  • Check step-by-step output for correctness
  • Verify the end result (email received, Slack message sent, etc.)

4. Activate

Once you're satisfied with the configuration:

  • Flow Builder: Click Publish
  • Workflow Builder: Toggle the Active switch
  • The automation is now live

Updating Installed Templates

Installed templates are independent copies — they don't auto-update when the original template is updated. If the author releases a new version:

  1. Check the Marketplace for the updated template
  2. Install it as a new flow
  3. Migrate any customizations from your old flow
  4. Deactivate and delete the old flow

Uninstalling

To remove an installed template:

  1. Go to Automations
  2. Find the flow
  3. Click Delete

This removes the flow and all its run history.
